Fix a login loop, blank screen or page that won't load

Clear old bookmarks, tabs and browser data that stop SalesLogs loading, and check whether the problem is on your computer.

If the SalesLogs login page keeps sending you back to the start, stays blank or will not load, the cause is almost always your browser rather than your account. Work through these checks in order. Most problems are fixed by the first three.

Check the address and your tabs first

  1. Make sure you are using https://app.saleslogs.com. Old bookmarks to login.saleslogs.com, live.saleslogs.com or preview.saleslogs.com, or bookmarks that jump straight to a dashboard, are a common cause of loops and blank screens.
  2. If you use a bookmark, right-click it and choose Edit to see which address it opens. Change it to https://app.saleslogs.com. See Supported browsers and installing SalesLogs on a computer.
  3. Close every SalesLogs tab, then open one new tab at https://app.saleslogs.com. Tabs left open from before a SalesLogs update keep the old version and can fail until you reload them.
  4. Use one SalesLogs tab per browser. Logging in on a second tab logs out the first one. See Stay logged in and avoid unexpected logouts.

Note: if a permission change has not shown up yet, you may only need a hard refresh. Press Ctrl + F5 (Windows), or log out and back in. Clear your cache only for genuine login or loading faults.

Clear your cache and cookies

Clearing your cache removes old copies of SalesLogs stored in your browser.

Important: clearing cookies removes Trust this device, so you will need to enter a two-factor authentication code at your next login. Have your authenticator app ready. See Set up 2FA with an authenticator app.

Google Chrome

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (Mac). You can also click the three dots in the top-right corner and select Delete browsing data.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Set Time range to All time.
  4. Tick Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. You can leave the other boxes unticked.
  5. Click Delete data. In some versions of Chrome this button is called Clear data.
  6. Restart Chrome, go to https://app.saleslogs.com and log in again.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete. You can also click the three dots in the top-right corner, select Settings, go to Privacy, search, and services, and click Choose what to clear under Clear browsing data.
  2. Set Time range to All time.
  3. Tick Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
  4. Click Clear now.
  5. Restart Edge and log in again.

Note: Chrome is the recommended browser. Edge can keep serving an old copy of SalesLogs after an update, so if problems keep coming back in Edge, try Chrome.

Safari on a Mac

  1. Click Safari > Settings > Advanced and tick Show Develop menu.
  2. Click Develop > Empty Cache.
  3. Close the SalesLogs tab, open a new one and log in again.

Safari on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app, tap Apps, then tap Safari.
  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.
  3. Choose All History, then tap Clear History.
  4. Open SalesLogs again and log in.

To keep your browsing history and clear only cookies and cached data, go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, tap Remove All Website Data, then tap Remove Now.

Note: if the option is greyed out, there is nothing to clear, or Screen Time restrictions on your device are blocking it. On older versions of iOS, Safari is listed directly in Settings rather than under Apps.

Find out if the problem is on your computer

  1. Open an incognito or private window and log in at https://app.saleslogs.com. If it works there, the problem is in your normal browser, usually its cache or an extension.
  2. Turn off browser extensions one at a time, especially any installed recently, and try again.
  3. Try a different browser, another computer or another internet connection. If SalesLogs works elsewhere, ask your IT team to check your computer or network.
  4. Check that your browser zoom is set to 100%. Press Ctrl + 0 to reset it. Zoom other than 100% often hides buttons or misaligns menus.
  5. Update your browser. In Chrome, click the three dots > Help > About Google Chrome.
  6. Check the SalesLogs status page at www.saleslogs.com/status for a known issue.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to enter a 2FA code after clearing my cache?

Clearing cookies removes the record that you trusted this device. Enter the code from your authenticator app once and tick Trust this device again.

I cleared my cache and it still loops. What next?

Try an incognito window and a different browser. If it fails everywhere, contact SalesLogs support and tell them which browsers and devices you tried. See Contact SalesLogs support.

SalesLogs loads, but the text is blurry or covered by boxes. What should I do?

This is usually a display setting on your computer rather than a SalesLogs fault. See Fix blurry or hidden text in SalesLogs.

Why does SalesLogs ask for a 2FA code every time I open my browser?

Your browser, or a policy set by your IT team, is clearing site data when you close it. See How two-factor authentication works in SalesLogs.
